Is KIPIK really free?
For clients, yes, entirely: search, augmented-reality preview, project listings, messaging and booking cost nothing. For professionals, the Starter plan is free with a 7% commission on payments taken through the platform; Pro and Premium bring that commission down to 2% and 1% in exchange for a monthly subscription.
I'm looking for a piercer, not a tattoo artist. Is that covered?
Yes, on the same footing. Piercing is not a filter bolted onto tattooing: piercers have their own tree — body area, jewellery type, material — and their profile shows the hygiene and sterilisation protocol. Booking, quotes, payment and healing follow-up work identically, and the professional plans are the same as for tattoo artists, at the same price.
What criteria can I search an artist by?
Distance (adjustable radius of 5 to 200 km, or the whole country), styles — organised in families such as Classic, Realism, Graphic or Japanese, each with its sub-styles, up to ten selected at once —, budget, urgency, availability, and profile status (verified or simply listed). An AI-assisted search and a live result counter complete the filters.
I don't know what I want. What do I do?

PIK is the KIPIK assistant: a few questions and it connects you with the pros who match your style, your area and your availability — tattoo artists and piercers alike. It is made for people who have an idea but not the vocabulary.
Who can create a professional account?
Tattoo artists and piercers with a valid business identifier, professional liability insurance and a hygiene training certificate. Professionals in Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg can also register, with their own country's company number and VAT number.
What does the French e-invoicing reform change?
Receiving electronic invoices has been mandatory since 1 September 2026 for businesses registered in France. The obligation to issue them applies from 1 September 2027 for micro-enterprises. KIPIK generates the receipts ledger, the purchases register and the twelve-month FEC export, and connects to a certified partner platform. Activation only needs your business identifier; have an ID document, a company extract less than three months old and bank details ready.
How do payments work?
Payments go through Stripe. Card, SEPA direct debit at €0.35 per transaction, three or four instalments via Klarna, and Bancontact for Belgian clients. Card details never pass through KIPIK. The fee breakdown explicitly separates the KIPIK commission from the payment provider's fees.
What are project listings for?
For reversing the search. Instead of approaching artists one by one, you post your project with its style, budget and urgency: the relevant artists reply with a quote, viewable as a zoomable, shareable, printable PDF. You have seven days to accept; the listing closes automatically once a quote is accepted.
My profile appears although I never signed up. Why?
The directory contains profiles listed from public sources — the French SIRENE business register, OpenStreetMap, Google Places — so that the map is useful from day one. These listings are separated from verified profiles by a dedicated filter. You can claim yours to complete it, or ask for it to be removed.
Which countries and which languages?
Professional registration is open in more than twenty-five countries, with each country's business identifier and payment methods. The interface is translated into French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese, and follows the device language automatically.
